Burj Khalifa

Sathi’s Sustainable Contribution to the World’s Tallest Tower

Join us as we reflect on a monumental achievement: Sathi’s pivotal role in supplying Ground Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag (GGBFS) materials for the construction of the iconic Burj Khalifa, designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. With over 45,000 m3 (58,900 cu yd) of concrete utilized, weighing more than 110,000 tonnes, Burj Khalifa’s foundation stands as a testament to engineering excellence. Sathi’s participation in replacing 68% of cement with GGBFS products not only enhanced sustainability but also bolstered structural strength. As the tallest building in the world, reaching a vertical height of 601 meters, Burj Khalifa’s construction was a feat of human ingenuity, requiring 22 million man-hours and groundbreaking concrete pumping technology. Together, Sathi and the Burj Khalifa project exemplify a commitment to innovation and sustainability in the construction industry.

Sheikh Zayed Bridge

Sathi’s Sustainable Cement and Concrete Contribution to the Sheikh Zayed Bridge Construction

In a tale spanning over seventy years, the evolution of Abu Dhabi’s infrastructure is a testament to progress. From the humble Maqta Causeway to the modern marvel of the Sheikh Zayed Bridge, each structure reflects the city’s growth and ambition.

The Sheikh Zayed Bridge, a visionary project conceived to meet the demands of the 21st century, stands as an iconic symbol of engineering excellence and architectural ingenuity. Designed by the brilliant Zaha Hadid, the bridge’s construction required the meticulous pouring of over 250,000 cubic meters of concrete, a task undertaken with precision and dedication.

As Sathi participated in supplying the cement and concrete materials for this monumental undertaking, they played a crucial role in enhancing the bridge’s sustainability and strength. Amidst the challenges and complexities of construction, Sathi’s commitment to quality ensured the realization of Hadid’s visionary design.

Today, the Sheikh Zayed Bridge stands as a testament to collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development, a beacon of progress for generations to come.
